*** Mother's Day ***

Mother's Day is always a special time. We decided to treat mom to a nice brunch at one of her favorite places to eat.

Market Street Grill is one of the most popular places to eat in downtown Salt Lake City. Next door is the Oyster Bar, it is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in the mood for seafood. The downstairs New Yorker Restaurant is known for it's esquisite menu.

Whenever we go to eat anywhere, we will take something to keep Benjamin busy, such as a favorite book or jigsaw puzzle. Here, mom is playing with Benjamin and one of his magnet books that has different trucks that he can stick on the pictures. He will usually tell you a story about what the trucks are doing.

Of course, a Mother's Day is incomplete unless you have a big hug for mom.

Benjamin worked on putting his finishing touches on a Mother's Day card for Brandy. Brandy is one of our dear friends who is always there for us, always interested in what is happening, especially when it comes to Benjamin. She is like a mom for us.

A nice finishing touch for a wonderful brunch was a fruit desert, which Benjamin was totally impressed with. His little fingers kept finding whipped topping on them, so he had to lick them off.

Here is Brandy with the Mother's Day card that Benjamin made. He is loved by so many people and he loves them back.

Benjamin is giving us a thumbs up after a fun brunch.

Once we were outside, Benjamin donned his mirror baseball shades. He love to wear sunglasses and looks pretty good in them. When he cruises down the side walk, there are always those, "Oh how cute!" remarks by strangers. Since I'm bragging, strangers will comment on how adorable he is. I think that it is his inner spirit that comes out. He is a very happy and confident little boy.

His happiness and confidence comes from the love that we show him, especially from mom. Thanks mom for all that you do to give Benjamin such an awesome childhood!
