Unfortunately, both Vero's and my families are out of state, spread everywhere. This means that we don't get to see them very often and Benjamin doesn't either.
There is a difference between a Father and Dad. Fathers are the ones who brought you into this world, but its Dads who make you who you are.
I am fortunate to have the Dad that I do. He taught me from a young age to work hard, be honest, be kind, to take care of my family, to be respectful, and most importantly, how to love. When I finished my MBA, I gave Dad the tassel I wore when I walked. I told him that I was able to accomplish what I did because of what he taught me.
This is a picture from the last time we visited him at his place. Benjamin immediately took a liking to him.
He immediately took a liking to Benjamin as well.
I think that babies can sense something about the people they're around. Benjamin didn't resist Dad at all, he was calm and engaging.
I want to teach Benjamin all the lessons that Dad taught me. If I can do that, then I will feel that I'm a success. I look forward to fishing with Benjamin just as Dad took us boys fishing. It was during those times that he would really talk to us about life, I will always treasure them.
I was digging through some old files when I stumbled on this video. It was taken a few weeks after we visited Dad, it was Benjamin's first experience in a swing.
Since then, he has developed an affinity to defying gravity and sudden changes in direction.
Incidently, this is the first time to integrate video in my blog...it could be my last! Please share what you think of this.
We love you Dad!
