Utah = Natural beauty

It was September 1984

when I arrived in Utah. Deep down I felt that this was a temporary thing. Every year, I thought it would be my last as I'd move on to another region to live.

Here I am, 24 years later, still in awe of the natural beauty all around.

To find a favorite place is daunting.

Canyonlands are to the south, offering unsurpassed vistas, sandstone, and a ruggedness to burn the lungs on a summer day.

The Wasatch range is only 10 minutes to the east offering opportunity to play during every season. Mountain biking single track down Little Cottonwood Canyon, skiing at your choice of 4 different world class resorts, camping, fishing, hiking, or even road cycling.

Immediately to the northwest is the Great Salt Lake that offers pristine calmness. A treat at anytime of the year is cycling across the causeway that leads to Antelope Island. The 8-mile flat road is unsurpassed for finding your inner voice.

The salt flats in the west are white as snow, which is mysteriously beautiful in the moonlight.

I have been so blessed to be surrounded by this natural gem.
